Had a great visit from my former Stony Brook Surgery chief residents, Syed Abbas, Ahmed Nasser, Lily Hsieh, Andrew Peredo, Spiro Pagkratis, and Patrick Hartendorp at my house tonight. They were in Chicago for the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress. They even brought my favorite meal, Harold's Fried Chicken!
Awesome group! (And impressive that your residents got oriented to Chicago so quickly that they brought Harold's Chicken!)

DeleteIt was our pleasure to visit one of our role models! You've spent countless hours in the OR teaching us and training us to become surgeons. This is the very least we can do! Plus...the fried chicken and herbal tea were delicious!!

I need to add Dhavel Patel who also joined this group. As a matter of fact, he may have paid for the Harold's. Dhavel is a graduate of Stony Brook Surgery Residency. He is an endocrine surgeon at NCI presently.

Letty and I had dinner with Joan and Luana and we were both saddened to hear the news of your health
I remember considering you one of my favorite doctors to work for 😍… not just because of your talent/skills but, you had a great sence of humor and even thought you may have had bad days/frustations you were always pleasant to my and you shared information, educated me also; whuch is still evident in your blog.
Thank you for being a part of my life in the early stages of my career in this industry
I believe in the powers of HOPE, FAITH and PRAYER
I send these powerful gifts to you and your wonderful family today and everyday until you are healed and beyond
I will ask my brother who is a minister to put yoy and your family on the prayer list
My daughter actually attends Columbia College ib Chicago
